Khandapada (Nayagarh): The Khandapada police arrested a 36-yr-old man on Tuesday night for allegedly making abusive calls to lady OAS officer, Ms Sipra Sethy, Block Development Officer (BDO), Khandapada.

The police arrested the accused on Wednesday morning from the capital city Bhubaneswar on Wednesday morning.

“We had analysed BDO’s call records and traced out this culprit in Bhubaneswar. We have even seized his mobile phone with sim card. The accused has been identified as 36-yr-old Dillip Kumar Das, working as a security guard in a private firm. He was in a habit of making random calls to women and hurling sexual abuses in filthy language. He lived alone and was not married,” informed Anil Kumar Pradhan, IIC, Khandapada exclusively to OMMCOM NEWS.

Ms Sipra Sethy, BDO was elated by the quick action taken by the police after OMMCOM News reported this harassment.

“I thank the whole team of OMMCOM News who understood my plight and posted my story, which prompted the police to search for the culprit. It would not have been possible without the intervention of the Ommcom team,” told Sipra.

Notably, the lady OAS officer has been receiving such abusive call repeatedly for the last one month and the police had been making empty rhetorics of acting over this case.
