Bhawanipatna: A day after the body of missing General Manager of Upper Indravati Hydro Electric Project (UIHEP) was discovered from near a cellular tower in Mukhiguda, family members and villagers have staged a demonstration demanding a probe by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Reportedly, the deceased Narayan Prasad Meher (55) working as General Manager of UIHEP under Odisha Hydro Power Corporation (OHPC) Ltd was missing since December 17. His wife Surekha had filed an FIR on December 18 stating that Meher went to his office at 10.30 am on the fateful day and did not return home.

After recovery of his body yesterday, Surekha alleged that Narayan has been murdered after abduction. While police stated that it is conducting proper investigation into the case, family members and villagers are irate over the investigation process and indifference of OHPC authorities.
