Odisha: Woman Looted & Raped In Cuttack

Cuttack: In a shocking case, a woman was allegedly looted and then raped in Athagarh area here today morning. Reportedly, the incident took place when the woman was returning home after withdrawing money from Khuntuni State Bank of India (SBI) branch.

When she approached a deserted road, some miscreants brandished weapons at her and then looted her belongings. They also raped her and abandoned her at the spot. The woman's husband has filed a complaint at Gurudi Jhatia police station and cops have held the accused persons for further probe into the matter, stated reports.

Yet another incident has come to the fore that 5-year-old minor girl was allegedly raped in Jagatpur area. The youth had lured her on several pretexts and had raped her, informed the victim's father while filing complaint at the police station. Probe into the matter is currently underway.
