Keonjhar: In a shocking incident, a woman was burned to death after her husband allegedly set her on fire in Koilipala village under Mahuladiha police limits in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as Lisa Nayak. She was married to one Prafulla Nayak of Udubeda village.

As per reports, Lisa’s father has alleged that her in-laws never liked her and she was always mistreated by them. Due to the constant torture, she would often come back to her parents’ house.

Prior to her death, Lisa told her father that her husband had poured petrol on her and set her on fire when she returning from the village fair.

Lisa was rushed to Anandpur medical where she breathed her last. Her family members have filed a complaint against Prafulla.
