Balasore: In an unfortunate mishap, a woman allegedly made a careless mistake that took her husband's life in Kuladiha forest near Nilgiri here late last night. The deceased has been identified as Jay Banerjee.

The Bengali couple had gone to visit Rissia Nature's camp after finishing their darshan at Puri Jagannath Temple. Near the camp, Jay had parked his car in start mode on the roadside and was talking over the phone outside the car when his wife accidentally hit the gear.

The car started moving and in order to save his wife's life, who was still inside the car, Jay jumped in front of the car but lost his life under the speeding vehicle instead. Forest officials confirmed that Jay was killed on the spot and his body had been sent for post-mortem.
