Odisha: Villagers Block EVM Movement In Ersama Over Man's Murder

Jagatsinghpur: A man who was seriously injured during a violent scuffle at which ensued during polling at Ersama today, died on his way to SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack.

The man was attacked by unidentified miscreants at Gadakujanga's Nolia Sahi today. He was attacked with a broken liquor bottle which inflicted grievous injuries on abdomen.

Protesting the incident, the inhabitants of Nolia Sahi staged an agitation and blocked the movement of EVMs from the local polling booth. Though police have been deployed in the area, the villagers have demanded for the body of the man, following which they would release the EVMs.
