Odisha: Veteran Journalist Ramahari Mishra No More

Bhubaneswar: Veteran journalist of Odisha, Ramahari Mishra, passed away today at his residence here. He was 85.

Sources said that Ramahari Babu breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a private hospital here. He was suffering from old age ailments.

According to senior journalists of Odisha, veteran scribe Ramahari Mishra had a distinguished career in journalism with ‘Kalinga’, ‘Amrita Bazaar Patrika’, ‘Patriot’, ‘Link’, National Herald and many other reputed media houses.

He was also a creative writer and poet.

He had also played vital role in the journalists’ trade union activities, sources added.

Following the sad demise, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen  Patnaik expressed his deep grief at the passing away of senior journalist Ramhari Mishra.

He also conveyed his deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
