Odisha: Two Teenagers, Including National Bravery Award Winner Killed In Accident

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident at Rajnagar here, two teenagers died after a truck rammed over them in the afternoon. The deceased have been identified as Situ Mallick and cousin Duryadhan Mallick. Situ was a National Bravery Award winner.

The mishap took place when a tipper and a motorcycle collided head-on at Jari chhak under Rajanagar police limits. The truck overturned after the collision. Three others have been injured in the mishap.

Situ received the prestigious National Bravery Award 2018 for saving the life of his 44-year-old uncle from the jaws of a crocodile. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed remorse over the incident and announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each for the families of the deceased.
