Odisha: Twin City Police ACP’s Prompt Act Saves Two Accident Victims

Bhubaneswar: A senior officer of Commissionerate Police, Lalitendu Mohanty's efforts could save the lives of two persons on Thursday night. While patrolling near Kalinga Hospital square Mohanty witnessed a road accident in which two bikers sustained major injuries.

Unable to spot a PCR or ambulance in the proximity of the spot, Mohanty rushed the injured persons in his official vehicle to the hospital. With timely response from the police official during the golden hour, the lives of the two persons were saved.

According to sources, the two accident victims are recuperating at the Capital Hospital. The prompt action from a senior police official on a busy traffic junction garnered public praise. However, Mohanty refused to comment on the matter saying, he was just doing his duty.
