**Mayurbhanj:** In yet another incident of elephant electrocution, a tusker was found dead after coming in contact with a 11 KV electric wire last night in Deuli Forest Range here.
The incident occurred near Sunaposi village as some elephants had wandered near human habitation in the middle of the night from the neighboring state Jharkhand’s Dalma forest, said sources.
The carcass will be sent for post-mortem and then buried, informed Baripada Forest officials today. Meanwhile, further investigation into the tusker’s death is currently underway.
It is notable to mention here that the electrocution of seven elephants due to a low-hanging wire had sent shock waves across the State, two weeks ago.
