Bhubaneswar: The Transport and Commerce Department of Odisha has planned to organise camps to provide documentation necessary for vehicle owners.
Transport Minister Padmanabh Behera today said the Department will ask officials and staff to open offices on holidays to ease the volumes of transactions and facilitate documentation of two-wheelers, four-wheeler and other category of vehicles.
Driving license, insurance, pollution under check certificates, apart from vehicle registration and other documentation will be done on fast track to complete the pending work within three months, Behera said.
“Our target will be to roll out the certificates required to comply traffic norms with ease and convenience to the general public. We will issue directives to the concerned departments in this regard,” added Behera.
It may be noted that the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday directed the Police and Transport Department officials to ease the stringent enforcement of new Motor Vehicle Act till three months.
