Bhubaneswar: An 18-year-old tiger named Roshan is critical due to illness at Nandan Kanan zoo here. OUAT technicians and a veterinary team are treating the sick tiger in a camp inside Nandan Kanan for the last few days.
The tiger was born in 2002 from parents, Ram and Shriya. Roshan had a eyesight problem since birth. The wild cat is having issues in consuming food and movement said zoo authorities. It had mated with a white tigress named Bijaya in 2016.
Roshan was senile and is afflicted with ageing symptoms. Since Friday, the tiger stopped consuming food and was administered intravenous drugs. Roshan is still critical, the zoo authorities added.
