Odisha: Three Lawyers Dismissed From Orissa High Court Bar Association

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court Bar Association today dismissed three lawyers on charges of sabotaging the forums’ cease work and protest against police.

The three lawyers dismissed from Orissa High Court Bar Association are BJD legal front convenor Milan Kanungo, advisor Asim Amitabh and former HC bar vice president Banshidhar Satpathy.

Satpathy had earlier tendered his resignation which was accepted following which he was dismissed. “While Kanungo and Asim Amitabh have also been dismissed, Pahali Mohanty and others will be served a show cause notice,” Orissa Bar Association Secretary, Satyabrata Mohanty said.

Mohanty added that the cease work will continue till November 9 when the General Body meeting is scheduled to be held.
