Odisha: Tea Seller Injured After Customer Pours Hot Oil Over Him For Delay In Service

Nayagarh: A tea-seller sustained critical burn injuries after a customer poured hot oil over him after being annoyed over delay in service here in Bakalabandha village today morning.

According to the victim Krushna Chandra Sahoo, one Jugal Barad came into his shop and asked for tea. While Sahoo was brewing a hot cup of tea, Barad got annoyed over delay in service and entered the shop. Barad first assaulted Sahoo and then threw hot oil over it. He also threatened to vandalize the shop and murder Sahoo.

While injured Sahoo was first admitted to district headquarters hospital, the doctors referred him to the Burn Unit in Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital.

Meanwhile, sources said that Barad was held for further investigation into the matter.
