Odisha: Std II Student Dies Of Snakebite In Balasore

Balasore: A student of second standard died reportedly due to snakebite at Rajnagar upper primary school on Tuesday.

The child fell unconscious during classes and was rushed to the Hatigada community health centre (CHC) and later shifted to Jaleswar CHC for treatment. He succumbed later in the night.

Protesting the incident, locals of Ulamara panchayat staged an agitation in front of the school demanding compensation for the family of the child. Police and local administration intervened following which the protesters were placated.
