Odisha: Single Window Clearance Authority Approves Projects Worth Rs 2,435 Cr

Bhubaneswar: The State Government on Thursday approved ten investment proposals envisaging investment of around Rs 2435.57 crore and employment opportunities for 5432 persons. The projects were approved in the State Single Window Clearance Authority meeting held here today.

Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy who presided over the meeting directed departments to make a realistic assessment of the requirement of land and water for these industrial units. The departments were asked to provide proactive and facilitating support for early grounding of the projects.

Development Commissioner Suresh Mohapatra advised IDCO and IPICOL to workout a model benchmarking the land required for various types of industries in consultation with technical experts. The industry department was advised to ensure compliance to employment norms by the industries.

The proposals approved today are for the companies: Ion Exchange Ltd, Highland Agro, Ratnamani Metals and Tubes, Metaliks Ltd, Beekay Steel Industries, Kamaljit Singh Ahluwalia, Suraj Products, TM International Logistics, Aditya Birla Renewable and NHPC.
