Odisha Shame: Young Girl Gang Raped In Khurda, Three Accused Absconding

Khurda: The safety of girls in the country is in serious jeopardy as another incident of a young girl allegedly gang-raped by three unidentified men, has come to the fore from a village in Khurda district.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Saturday evening when the girl and her sister were out in the field to attend nature’s call. The girl was kidnapped and raped by the men while her sister managed to flee the spot and inform the villagers.

The villagers then rushed to the spot and rescued the girl in critical condition, said sources. The matter came to light after the victim’s father lodged a written complaint at Jankia police station.

The girl was first rushed to a nearby hospital and later she was shifted to the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar after her condition worsened. In a critical condition, the girl has given a statement that three youths were involved in the crime. The local police have assured that they have launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.
