Odisha: Schools Observe Silent Prayer To Honor J&K Terror Attack Martyrs

Bhubaneswar: After directions from Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, schools across Odisha observed two-minute silent prayer today to honor CRPF jawans, who were martyred in Jammu & Kashmir.

The teachers, children and school staff paid homage to the brave-heart jawans who made supreme sacrifice and attained martyrdom.

On Friday, the Chief Minister conveyed his condolences, announced Rs 10 lakh ex gratia for each bereft kin of the two Odia martyrs (Manoj Behera and Prasanna Sahoo) and also talked to their family members over phone.

On February 14 at around 3.15 p.m, a 'Fidayeen' bomber belonging to the Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) rammed an explosive-laden SUV into a bus carrying CRPF troopers in Lethpora area of Pulwama. The attack claimed 45 lives and stunned the nation.
