Bhubaneswar: Odisha-born Rabi Mishra has been promoted as Executive Director of Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Earlier, he was the principal chief general manager of the bank’s risk management department.
Mishra took the position after Rosemary Sebastian's retirement, reports stated.
He will be looking after the newly-created specialised supervisory and regulatory cadre within the RBI. He will be supervise cooperative banks and the non-banking financial companies, reports added.
A native of Dhenkanal in Odisha, Mishra is educated in Economics in JNU, Delhi School of Economics, Mumbai University and Harvard University, USA. He has been with RBI for about 30 years now.
