Nabrangpur: Dabugaon’s MLA Manohar Randhari won hearts and respect from many when he was shot cleaning the feet of chaste sanitation workers. In a viral video, Randhari is seen washing feet and then felicitating the workers.

Yesterday, a Swachh Bharat awareness programme was organized at Dabugaon for making the area plastic-free zone. As chief guest, MLA Randhari participated in cleaning the area from Bhairab College till Dabugaon New Bus Stand.

In this occasion he felicitated sweeper Tulasa Bhatra, Sunamani Nayak, Juga Sikri, and Dilip Harijan. All of them are employed at Papdahandi and Dabugaon Community Health Centre.

While this might come as a surprise for many, this nothing new for Randhari. Previously, the politician had taken it upon himself to repair road. On July 22, the MLA was on his way to Jabaguda village in Papadahandi block to distribute raincoats and umbrellas among farmers when he saw a large pit right in the middle of the road near Maidalpur. His vehicle could not negotiate the pit. Upon knowing that weather was a hindrance for repair work, he took a spade from a farmer and started filling the pit with soil accumulated beside it.

Known for his amazing people interaction skill, Randhari had fully participated in local celebration of Ganesh Puja and Nuakhai too.
