**Puri:** Members of the Odisha State Revenue Field Officers’ Association have decided to launch a cease work strike from tomorrow in protest of the lackadaisical attitude of Odisha Government towards fulfillment of their 7-point charter of demands.
After attending a general council meeting of the association held in Puri today, State president, Basant Kumar Mohanty said, “Odisha State Revenue Field Officers’ Association as per its earlier decision has decided to launch a cease work agitation from June 2 till indefinite period.”
The association will aware the State government and people about the demands and continue its agitation till they are met. The agitation will be intensified in coming days and all revenue department officers across 30 districts of Odisha will go on a mass leave from tomorrow, he added.
Hike in grade pay and travel allowance, enhancement of entry level qualification for the jobs to graduation, promotion on qualification basis, abolition of contractual employment and regularization of jobs are some of the major demands of the association.
