Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded 71.61 percent polling in third phase elections for the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections which was held simultaneously on April 23 (Tuesday).
According to the fresh data released by the Election Commission of India (ECI), 66.29 lakh persons out of a total 92.57 lakh eligible voters cast their votes on Tuesday in Odisha.
Out of 47.99 lakh males 34.23 lakh voted, and out of 44.57 female voters 32.06 lakh voters cast their votes in the third phase elections.
In the Other category 100 people turned up out of a total 1,161 eligible voters.
Constituency-wise the voter turnout was as follows:
Tribal-dominated Keonjhar recorded the maximum 78.16% polling. The turnout in Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha consituency was the lowest. Out of around 17 lakh electors in Bhubaneswar only 10 lakh voted on Tuesday.
