Odisha: Rayagada Police Arrests Nine Accused In Triple Murder Case

Rayagada: The police on Thursday arrested nine persons allegedly involved in the triple murder which took place on February 23 in Ukumb aguda village in Gunupur.

The arrested persons include three women, the police said. In the heinous crime which reportedly was a witchhunt, Gopal Sabar, his wife Lakshmi Sabar and an elederly woman, Jankeli Sabar were brutally assaulted and killed.

The three were also cremated and later their ashses was immersed in a village pond. Police have already arrested the prime accused Babula Sabar, Ajit Sabar, Basu Sabar and six others in this connection.
