Balasore: Cases of miscreants posing to be security officials and looting from people is on the rise. One such incident has been reported from Soro medical square here today morning.

According to reports, a nurse Sabita Jani of Soro Community Health Centre (CHC) was on her way to work when two bike-borne miscreants intercepted her way. Posing as cops, they told her not to wear so many gold ornaments in public and asked her to put it all away in her bag.

As soon as Sabita did as she was told by the ‘cops’, the miscreants snatched the bag away from her and fled the scene.

Sabita has lodged a complaint regarding the matter in Soro police station and the cops have launched a manhunt to nab the miscreants.
