Sundargarh: The Election Commission Flying Sqaud deployed in the district today obstructed the roadshow of BJD’s Sundargarh MP candidate Sunita Biswal complaining that she was doing that without prior permission from the competent authority.

She was later allowed after the requisite document of permission was shown to the squad there.

The incident took place at Purunapani under Birmitrapur Assembly segment of Sundargarh parliamentary constituency when the police personnel of the Election Commission Flying Sqaud restricted her election campaign convoy. Purnapani comes under the Nuagaon block and the BDO was the executive magistrate on duty.

It was objected that MP candidate Sunita Biswal was having her roadshow sans any prior permission that is mandatory as per the guidleines of Election Commission of India.

After confusion for sometime, the documents depicting permission from the District Collector-cum-Returning Officer was shown and thus the roadshow and meetings were allowed later on.
