Bhubaneswar: After getting a BJP ticket to contest the Assembly polls from Anandapur seat during the upcoming Elections, Bhagirathi Sethi left the saffron party and rejoined the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today.

He joined the party in presence of BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today afternoon at Naveen Niwas here. “I have quit BJP due to infighting as leaders are conspiring against me. I was a member of BJD parivar and this is my homecoming,” Sethi said.

He was accompanied by hundreds of his supporters. Naveen Patnaik said, "I am glad that Bhagirathi Sethi has retruned to the Biju Janata Dal. His rejoining will strengthen the party."

It is notable to mention here that in 2014, Bhagirathi Sethi had resigned from BJD to join the BJP as he was unhappy over BJD's activities in Keonjhar district.
