Odisha: Police Commissioner Felicitates Mobile PCR Unit For Prompt Act On Duty

Bhubaneswar: A unit Mobile Police Control Room of Bhubaneswar urban police district was felicitated by Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty for a daring act which prevented a highway robbery few days back.

The unit led by senior Havildar Sibaprasad Praharaj, acted promptly to a call from the modern control room (MCR) and rushed to help a truck driver who was looted by a group of miscreants.

The PCR unit intercepted the miscreants in between Manchewar and Vani Vihar square and recovered mobile phones and cash of Rs 10,000 from their possession.

"The items were handed over to the truck driver and the matter was reported to Mancheswar IIC who registered a case. The accused in this case have been arrested," Panigrahi said.

"We are extremely happy that our efforts were recognised and awarded by the Police Commissioner," he said.
