Odisha Police Bags SKOCH Award 2018 At 52nd SKOCH Summit

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Police on Saturday bagged the SKOCH award for its dynamic web portal at the 52nd SKOCH Summit 2018 held at New Delhi. SAP IG Sanjeev Panda received the award on behalf of Odisha Police during the event.

The web portal www.odishapolice.gov.in was designed and developed by Suyog Computech on complementary basis under the technical support of NIC Bhubaneswar.

It was formally launched during the year 2014 and during its four years tenure had attracted more than 15 crore visitors. Though it is a citizen portal integration, it provides various citizen centric online police services to the citizens.

The web portal caters to the requirements of its 72, 000 strong personnel in more than 90 establishments spread all over the state.

Under the leadership of DGP Dr R. P. Sharma, the Odisha Police have created and developed this portal to create a sense of security among the citizens. The idea is to process a meaningful two way interaction with the stake holders and online access to varied police services.

Updated and accurate information on different aspects of policing have been available through a well laid out robust mechanism.
