Bhubaneswar: The staff of two Police Control Rooms (PCR) in capital city was felicitated by Commissioner of Police Satyajit Mohanty for their brave and timely action over the last two days.

Two days back, officials of PCR-1 received information that a truck was being taken away by miscreants. They immediately intervened and two people were caught red-handed from the spot. It was later discovered that the two miscreants were history-sheeters.

In a different incident, Railway Protection Force jawans were conducting a raid and some anti-social elements captured them and held them. But, officials of PCR-2 intervened and caught hold of the miscreants. They also rescued the jawans and provided them with relief.

“We are felicitating them and appreciating their good work. Everyone has been rewarded with cash and an appreciation letter. We want these official to be an example for others,” Satyajit Mohanty said.
