Bhubaneswar: Along with 300-odd supporters, Princess of Paralakhemundi Kalyani Devi today joined Biju Janata Dal at Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s residence here today.

The Gajapati dynasty scion and her supporters met with the CM at Naveen Nivas today morning and officially joined the party. “I am sure this will further strengthen the party,” said Naveen Patnaik after the ceremony. Scions of some other dynasties also joined the regional party today.

Kalyani Devi, is the daughter of Parala king and two-time MP Gopinath Gajapati, was earlier residing in Chennai. She was an alumnus of Christ college, Bangalore, and has a brother named Digvijay Singh.
