Balasore: In a gruesome incident, a pack of stray dogs were found feeding on a corpse of a newborn girl in front of Soro Community Health Centre late on Wednesday night.

As per reports, some locals spotted the scene when they were leaving the hospital after a consultation. They tried to shoo the dogs away but the animals ran with the corpse.

On intimation, cops reached the spot and recovered the body. It is yet to be ascertained under what circumstances did the body end up abandoned in roadside.

It is notable to mention here that such sightings have become common in Odisha. Earlier this month, an elderly woman had been mauled to death by stray dogs.
