Odisha: OAS Officer Dismissed From Govt Service For Corruption

Bhubaneswar: In the ongoing drive against corruption and corrupt officials, the Odisha Government on Friday dismissed a senior Odisha Administrative Services (OAS) officer who was convicted in a corruption case.

The case relates to Pradeep Kumar Behera, the former Block Development Officer (BDO) of Komna in Nuapada district. Behera is currently posted as Tahsildar of Katiapada in Mayurbhanj district.

He was booked by Odisha Vigilance's Koraput division in March 2008. The State Government today announced his dismissal from Government service.

Today, the OAS officer's dismissal came after the announcement of premature retirement of three senior officers of Odisha Government.
