Sambalpur: Nine persons were arrested by the police on charges of vandalising Katarabaga police station premises on Sunday morning. The mob laid seige to the police station following an accident in which a person was killed.

The locals demanding compensation first blocked the road and then vandalised the police station, alleging that their demands were not met. SP Sanjeev Arora and senior police officials rushed to the spot to diffuse the situation.
