Bhubaneswar: In a bid to revamp the newly launched Information Technology (IT) Cell of the BJD, the ruling party organised a one-day conclave in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.

The conclave witnessed a footfall of students from over 300 colleges across the State and youth workers from all the districts.

"IT is very much required in today's world. Biju Babu belived a great deal in science and technology. IT is critical in today's age, so, I am delighted to see youths congregate for the IT conclave today," Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister launched the official logo of the IT Wing of the party. The conclave groomed youths to use IT not only in politics but also in their general life to build themselves as good citizens, BJD IT Cell Chairman, Amar Patnaik said.

"It aimed at empowering the youths improve their citizenship values and make sure that the party's ideals and party's performance and the various programmes actually reach the people," he added.

"We advised the youth brigade to decimate misinformation and connect people with the development schemes in a better way," added Patnaik.
