Nabarangpur: A bizarre incident unfolded here last night as some miscreants posing as patients looted cash and valuables from the house of a doctor.

Reportedly, four men approached the house of Pradipta Kumar Praharaj, a doctor posted at Indravati Government Hospital, at around 11.30 pm on Friday night and said that they were patients. When the doctor let them in, they brandished sharp weapons at the family members and looted Rs 40,000 cash, gold ornaments weighing 50 grams and four mobile phones from the house.

The doctor has filed a complaint at Indravati police station and further probe into the matter is currently underway.
