Odisha: Miscreants Issue Death Threat To VIMSAR Director, FIR Filed

Sambalpur: The director of a premier medical institution of the State, Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), has filed a complaint at the Burla police station stating that some unidentified miscreants have issued death threats against him.

VIMSAR director Aswini Pujahari has alleged that he received death threats on a phone call that was made to him by unknown miscreants. Fearing his life, Pujahari rushed to file a police complaint regarding the phone call today.

The cops have started investigation into the matter and the miscreants are believed to be identified after the probe.

Dr Pujahari, a surgery specialist, belongs to Ghodadhar village of Subarnpur district from a farmer’s family.

He did his matriculation from Menda High School and B.Sc from the Rajendra College, Bolangir. He had joined VIMSAR as a full-time director in June 2017.
