Odisha: Miscreants Hurl Bomb, Loot From ATM Cash Van In Nayagarh

Nayagarh: In yet another daylight robbery case, miscreants looted cash after hurling bombs at an ATM cash van on Khandapada-Nayagarh road near Kainthapalli area here today afternoon.

According to reports, the van was on its way to restock an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) with cash when four bike-borne miscreants intercepted the vehicle’s path and hurled bombs at it.

The incident left a person critically injured while the four miscreants decamped with lakhs of rupees. The exact amount of cash looted is yet to be ascertained however earlier estimates indicate that the loot amount is around Rs 1.72 lakh. Meanwhile, cops are further probing into the incident. A search operation has been launched by putting up blockades at several points to nab the culprits.
