Cuttack: President of Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Jahan Ara Begum informed that the Examination Committee will meet on March 12 to discuss the mishaps that have occurred this year when the annual High School Certificate Exams were on.

She said, "The Committee will meet on the 12th and hold discussions regarding the the missing of OMR sheets and the cancellation of English paper in three centres."

It is notable to mention here that 108 OMR sheets of Mathematics had gone missing from SSD High School in Malkangiri. Following this, three persons had been arrested.

Previous to that, the English question paper had gone viral and exams had to be canceled at three centres- Ghunsar Government High School in Bolangir, PR High School in Dhenkanal and Krupasindhu Nodal High School at Gopinathpur in Cuttack.

Addressing the issue of several question papers going viral this time, she said "The Board condemns this and strict action will be taken against the accused persons. We also want to tell that there is no need to panic as the papers have gone viral after the commencement of exams, thus there was no scope of copying or cheating."

"The next phase is evaluation and we have begun preparations for that. The process will start from March 25 onwards," she concluded.
