Cuttack: The anxious moments are over as Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has finally announced the Class 10 Matric exam results today. While 5,61, 079 results have been published, 3,97,125 have passed and the pass percentage is 70.78%

Out of 3,97,125 students who passed the exam, 1,91,655 are male & 2,05,470 are female. Thus, girls have outperformed boys. 82 schools have NIL results while 289 schools have 100% results. 14.69% have scored above 60 per cent marks and only 0.21% have scored above 90 per cent.

The grade breakup of the students that have passed: A1- 1181, A2- 9938, B1- 24991, B2- 46319, C- 76319, D-116262, E-122062, F-163954. Koraput recorded the lowest pass percentage of 50.61% while Jharsuguda recorded the highest 85.48%.

Secretary of School and Mass Education Department Pradipta Mohapatra informed that the pass percentage is low this year due to strict surveillance of malpractices, ensuring that students did not get centres in their own schools and introdcution of several sets of question papers.

The Supplementary exams will be held in the end of June  month to ensure that students can take admission in colleges at the right time. Meanwhile, students can apply for rechecking of papers in online mode for 10 days from May 24 onwards. 

Two control rooms have been set up by BSE for matric students for any kind of inquiry. Control room phone numbers: 0671-2412059 & 2412060.

The results for State Open School Certificate Examinations (SOSC) and Madhyama exams were also published today.  For Open School, out of 11219 results published, 6567 students have passed with the pass percentage being 58.53%.  For Madhyama, out of 3563 results published, 3015 students have passed with the pass percentage being 84.62%. Re-evaluation for Madhyama & SOSC exams will be done in offline mode from May 24 onwards.

The results can be downloaded at the official website bseodisha.ac.in and bseodisha.nic.in by 11 AM.  Following it, the OMR sheets will also be published online.

Students without internet access can check their results via SMS by typing OR10(Space)Roll Number and send it to 5676750. They will receive the results as a message on their phone.

Steps to download the Matric Exam Results 2019:

  1. Visit the official website bseodisha.ac.in  or bseodisha.nic.in
  2. Click on Annual H.S.C Examination Result
  3. Enter the required details such as Roll Number and Date of Birth
  4. Download the displayed result for future reference 

Apart from the official website, the result can also be checked at orissaresults.nic.in, examresults.net and indiaresults.com. This year, the examinations were held from February 23 to March 8, 2019.
