Kendrapara: Some unidentified miscreants opened fire in Rajnagar’s Kandira village here after locals opposed to their drinking liquor publicly in an open field of the village.

Reportedly today morning, a gang of 4-5 persons were allegedly creating ruckus in the village outskirts after getting drunk on alcohol. Opposing their act, locals took one person into their custody. While others fled the spot, they later returned in two bikes and opened fire in the village.

One Kishore Sethi sustained bullet injuries and was rushed to Rajnagar Medical. However, the doctors declared him dead. On intimation, cops reached the spot and the locals handed over one of the miscreants to the cops. Further probe into the matter is currently underway.
