Dhenkanal: In a shocking incident, a man was hacked to death by his brother-in-law in Bidabandha village under Dhenkanal Sadar police limits here late last night. The deceased has been identified as Nagesh Rout.

Reportedly, Litu (Nagesh's sister's husband) hacked him to death with some sharp weapon over some family dispute. When Litu's wife (Nagesh's sister) and Litu's mother-in-law interrupted trying to save Nagesh, they too were critically injured in the process.

While the injured persons are undergoing treatment in Dhenkanal DHH, the weapon of offence has been seized from the spot. Cops are further probing into the matter to ascertain the exact reason behind his death.

Litu has fled the scene and cops have launched a manhunt to nab him.
