Nabarangpur: A young pair was found hanging from a cashew tree near Gumidara village under Papadahandi police limits of Nabrangpur district. The lovebirds allegedly committed suicide using ‘odhani’ on Wednesday night.

The boy is identified as Bhabani Dandasenda of Nuaguda village and the girl was Swati Paika of Gumidar village. According to sources, they were in a relationship for the last two years. But the boy’s father was against their marriage.

It is assumed that it might have caused the lovebirds to take this extreme step.

The police reached the spot and seized the bodies. Investigation have been initiated in this case.
