Odisha: Locals Loot From Fuel-Laden Train In Balasore

Balasore: In a peculiar incident, locals of Bahanaga area allegedly looted fuel from a fuel-laden freight train here late last night.

Reportedly, the train engine carrying 52 tankers of fuel from Paradip was on its way to Subarampur depot. However, fuel started leaking from two tankers near Bahanaga railway station after which the freight train halted, detached the two tankers and resumed its journey.

Soon after, locals reached the spot and unsealed the tankers and emptied the fuel in their containers. On intimation, the railway authorities started a probe into the incident today morning.
