Bhubaneswar: The state-of-the-art Odisha government facility-Krushi Bhawan has been shortlisted for the prestigious World Architecture Festival (WAF) 2019 award.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the information.

The 1,30,000 square feet Krushi Bhawan, office of the Odisha State Department for Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment has been built at a cost of Rs 70 crore and designed as an office for a team of nearly 600 people, sources said.
In addition to that, it has accommodating spaces for community engagement and learning. The rooftop has been designed to house urban farming exhibits and demonstration of agricultural best practices, sources added.
The building is designed in such a way that it is naturally cooled and reduces the energy consumption as air-conditioners are installed in only 20% of the areas, the sources further said.
The WAF 2019 is scheduled to be held between December 4 and 6 in Amsterdam.
As many as 534 entries have been shortlisted for the festival from which 33 winning projects will be selected.
