Bhubaneswar: The members of the National Women's Rugby team met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat on Tuesday.

The 15-member women’s rugby team, registered its first international victory with Singapore at Manila on Saturday.

There were nine Odia players in the national team which was selected for the sia Women’s Division 1 Rugby XVs Championship.

Naveen had congratulated the team for its historic win earlier. The players seemed elated after meeting the Chief Minister who encouraged them to perform even better in the future.

Ace sprinter Dutee Chand was also present on the occasion.
