Bhadrak: In a state of murderous rage, a man assaulted his wife and killed his one-month old son in an intoxicated condition. The shocking incident occurred about ten days ago in New Colony at Gelatua under Bhadrak Gramanchal Police limits. The mother filed the complaint on Saturday.

The accused Tiku Munda, reportedly, regularly assaulted his wife, Nandini in an inebriated state. As per Nandini’s complaint, a severely intoxicated Tiku came back home and had a fight with her. First he beat her up and then in his wrath killed his infant son. He dug a part of his backyard and buried his son there. Scared for her life, Nandini kept mum.

On September 7, Tiku once again assaulted his wife.

Tired of her sad state, Nandini tried filing complaint against Tiku at Bhadrak Town Police station. However, since the case came under Gramanchal Police, the Town Police officials did not accept her complaint. Her complaint was then lodged under Gramanchal Police Station on Sunday. Now, since Magistrate was not available on Sunday, the investigation was delayed.

On Monday, in presence of the Magistrate, the forensic team inspected the crime scene and extracted the child’s body. A further probe has been initiated.
