Odisha: Inebriated Son Thrashes Father To Death For Money In Ganjam

Ganjam: In a shocking incident, an inebriated youth thrashed his 70-year-old father to death for money at Lathi village under Berhampur Sadar police limits late last night.

The deceased has been identified as Abhi Nayak (70).

According to reports, deceased’s son Simanchal returned home last night under heavy influence of alcohol and started a squabble with his father demanding money. When Abhi refused to give him money, an enraged Simanchal started beating his father with a wooden stick and killed him on the spot.

According to reports, the accused was trying to escape the crime scene but some locals caught hold of him and handed him over to the cops. Further probe into the incident is currently underway.
