Bhubaneswar: This year, the State-level Independence Day celebrations will be held at the Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar instead of Mahatma Gandhi Marg in the Smart City, said Twin City Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty on Tuesday.

Arrangements have been made for 12,000 audience members. Contigents of Territorial Army, Telangana Police, Central Armed Police Force and Odisha Special Armed Police will be give salutations during the state-level parade. As many as 20 platoons of police force will be deployed for the occassion.

"Tight security arrangements will be made to prevent any untoward incident on the day. For parking, the road in front of the exhibition ground will be used and a part of the ground will also be used for the parking of service vehicles if necessary,” he concluded.
