Odisha: In Pursuit Of Grace Marks For Their Children In Class-X Exams, Parents Lock Up CBSE Office In Bhubaneswar

02 April 2019

Bhubaneswar: Demanding grace marks for their children, a group of parents locked up the main gate of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) regional office today morning in capital city's Sailashree Vihar.

Members of the Odisha Abhibhavak Mahasangh, a body comprising parents of CBSE students in the state, demanded grace marks for subjects of Science, Hindi and Mathematics of the annual CBSE Class-X exams.

Staging a dharna in front of the main gate, the parents alleged that questions in these three papers were out of syllabus and the students faced difficulty in answering them. Thus, the students deserved grace marks, claimed the parents. They also alleged that many private schools in the state were not using NCERT books.
