Odisha-Cadre IAS Officer Krishan Kumar's Mother No More

Bhubaneswar: Ram Murti Devi Garg, mother of senior IAS Officer Dr Kishan Kumar breathed her last in Bhubaneswar on Saturday morning. She was 86 years old.

She had heart ailment and passed away in Apollo Hospital at 1:30 am in the night. Due to her prolonged ailment, she had been hospitalized eight times in the last three years. Many senior IAS officers, politicians and journalists paid their last respects to the departed soul.

Born on 22nd May 1933, she is survived by seven children. 2002 batch IAS officer Krishan Kumar is youngest among her children. He is the Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Cooperation Department and Works Department in Odisha.
